The symphony n°8 in C major, known as “The Great”, from Schubert. More known as number 9, it stands out precisely for its length and majesty. Often regarded as Schubert’s finest symphonic piece, it is also one of his most innovative works.
To start this new season, the Orchestra reconnects with the symphonic genre by offering you the Great Symphony in C major by Schubert, the symphonic masterpiece of the genius of German romantic music.
We will have the opportunity on this program to welcome an exceptional guest for conducting: Jacques Attali. To mark our 20 years of musical exchanges, Jacques Attali returns to conduct the Orchestra on this program for the concert on Saturday 9 December.
